Each year often brings new goals and time to reflect on what kind of life you'd like to live this year.
I've gotten a lot of questions about how to kick off the year the right way by building new habits and breaking the loop on habits that you want to stop.
What are you going to be working on in 2021? For me, I want to be more consistent with sharing videos this year on IGTV and YouTube.
I also want to continue my streak of reading/listening to at least one book a month.
Leave a comment below and let me know what's on your mind this year!

Immensely thankful for the confidence Vyten has inspired in me in my career search. Just before I completed the internship, an HR manager reached out via LinkedIn...I just got offered my dream job with a Tech company! Here’s to new beginnings, today is my first day! Feeling grateful for the collective motivation Vyten brings.

Hello Vyten Family,
I hope you and your loved ones are healthy and safe. What a wild year it's already been!
Since I've last connected with all of you, I have moved into my new home and I've had a few finalist interviews (in which I've been ghosted). On top of that, I had some scary personal moments as both of my parents had Covid (landing my father in the hospital for a number of days). Luckily, they're both on the mend and I'm grateful for that.
I think with everything going on, I've been struggling to reignite any type of motivation. I gave myself permission to take a brain break and reset a bit, but I think I might be stuck in "reset mode". Motivation is sort of stagnant and I can't seem to reignite the energy I had just a few short months ago. Anyone else in that boat?
My goal is to shake it out this week and push forward. This also involves me being active again on LinkedIn and continuing to intentionally build my network.
I will say, however, that I applied to one job last week on a whim and somehow landed an interview for tomorrow morning. Life is strange...The organization appears to have a similar set of values and definitely does good within the community (as it's a regional nonprofit). This is certainly an amazing opportunity!
I've never interviewed with a recruiter before. It's usually always been with the individual who would be serving as my supervisor. Does anyone have any advice when it comes to interviewing with a recruiter?
The recruiter specifically said this in their email: "I would like to have a chat with you to find out more about your skillset and motivation." I have some thoughts on what to prepare for, but any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for reading through my ramble! I will continue to embrace the chaos and do what it takes to get me to my next chapter.
Much love to all!

If you’re a coffee drinker with a thing for a morning espresso, Gourmesso has created compostable coffee capsules that are compatible with Nespresso machines. Every purchase plants a tree! If you are a Keurig user like myself, they also created BPI certified Keurig* compatible coffee pods made from bio-based materials. These pods work to give nutrients back to the soil and reduce plastic waste, while still offering an easy and delicious cup of coffee from your Keurig* machine.
100% compostable, affordable, and they give back to the environment? I'll take another coffee!

Science reveals that altruistic behaviors, such as volunteering, making donations, and random acts of kindness, promote wellbeing and longevity. One study found that volunteering correlates with a 24 percent lower risk of early death and a lower risk of high blood glucose and inflammation connected to heart disease. Volunteers also spend 38 percent fewer nights in hospitals.
Your good deeds might do you some good, too — they can make you healthier, reduce stress, not to mention how heartwarming it feels to be kind. And we could all use a little more kindness right now.
Read more about the science behind why are brains function in this way and supporting data by various studies on BBC.
